Please review the After-School Program Rules and La Jolla Cluster Robotics (LJCR) Program Expectations (below) with your engineer before submitting this registration.
LJCR Expectations:
Robotics has the privilege of operating on the LJES campus, and our engineers are part of the school community. The same standards for behavior, respect, responsibility, and safety that apply during the school day also apply during all LJCR Team activities.
As members of a Competition Team, engineers also have a responsibility to their teammates and are expected to contribute positively to the team's work, preparation, and success.
Engineers are expected to:
Arrive on time and be ready to participate.
Focus on Robotics during team time. Team meetings are intended for collaborative Robotics work and are not the time for completing school homework, playing unrelated computer games, or participating in unrelated activities.
Participate actively and make productive use of team time.
Contribute to the team. Engineers are expected to participate in building, coding, the Innovation Project, Core Values, and competition preparation. Engineers are also expected to complete necessary Innovation Project research, weekly questions, or other assigned preparation at home when needed so the team can continue making progress during practice.
Respect teachers, coaches, teammates, equipment, and the classroom.
Work collaboratively by listening to teammates, sharing responsibilities, solving disagreements respectfully, and contributing positively to the team.
Follow all safety expectations when building, coding, testing robots, and using equipment.
Demonstrate appropriate behavior while representing LJES and LJCR at practices, competitions, tournaments, and other Team activities.
